Situated off Wade Road only six kilometres South of Donnybrook in the rolling hills of Brookhampton, the 45 hectares of Byramgou Park and our boutique winery straddle a North-South ridge, overlooking the Minninup Creek and Thomson Brook valleys.

Not only do we enjoy spectacular views but also, the combination of sandy gravel running into loam clays and the cool, winters and long hot summers are ideal for growing premium wine grapes with which we produce delightful wines with great fruit and character.

Byramgou Park is named after a sailing ship of the early nineteenth century. Our Logo is a magnificent golden cup which bears the name of that ship and was presented to the commander of the “Byramgou” Captain John Crockett by British officers and staff on completion of a voyage to Arabia in 1821 as a mark of their esteem, The cup is now in the possession of Captain Crockett’s great great grandson, Richard Crockett Knox who with his wife Greraldine, are the owners and founders of Byramgou Park.

This evidence of excellence and achievement has been maintained through the generations and reflects in the outstanding award winning wines now produced at Byramgou Park.

wineWe live in the heart of the Geographe Wine Region and grow Shiraz, Grenache and Chardonnay grapes and buy in from within our region Cabernet Sauvignon and Semillon.

All our wines are:

  • Estate produced
  • Hand picked
  • Basket pressed
  • Estate bottled
  • High quality
  • Easy drinking in several styles

Our best practice procedures start in the vineyard with careful pruning. Cane and bunch thinning ensures high quality fruit. During the growing period we maintain good airflows through the vines and our North-South plantings ensures dappled sunlight on the fruit during the ripening process.

To preseve vineyard variability we pick, process and basket press in roughly one tonne or 1000 litre batches. This gives us the ability to produce wine in different styles and with different characteristics, particularly from Granache, including our signature wine Pink Ice Rose.
